The World Customs Organization (WCO) is quickly progressing with the implementation of the WCO SAFE Framework standards to secure and facilitate global trade. With this progression comes the development of parameters for the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs throughout the European Union. Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) recently announced the new Modernized Partners-in-Protection (PIP) Program. The new PIP program has been modified to more closely resemble the US Customs and Border Protection’s C-TPAT program - a huge step towards mutual recognition between the US CBP and CBSA. Integration Point PIP Certification is a web-based program that provides for the electronic collection, organization and analyzing of supplier information needed for PIP certification.
